Mounties look to ID suspect in knife incident in Cochrane business

Cochrane RCMP seek tips to identify this suspect after he brought a knife out in a local business on 1st Street on Feb. 26.

RCMP are turning to the public to help identify a suspect that brought a knife into a Cochrane business. 

Police responded Feb. 26 to reports of a disturbance in a business on 1st Street. 


An investigation determined the suspect, a young, slim man wearing black sweatpants and hoodie with white sneakers, presented a knife during an interaction in the building. 


He was seen leaving the area in a small car afterwards. 


Cochrane RCMP warn not to approach the man as he is believed to be armed and dangerous.


Call 911 instead, police said in a March 6 statement.
