Cochrane residents will have another ‘get fit’ option to consider in the near future, when GoodLife Fitness cracks its doors this month.
The gym is hoping to cater to the needs and wants of Cochranites by offering a variety of modern features, including virtual group exercise, which provides classes to members to fit each and every schedule and lifestyle.
“Virtual group exercise is an innovative new approach to group exercise where members participate by following along with an instructor onscreen in a group exercise studio,” explained David Patchell-Evans, GoodLife Fitness founder and CEO.
Patchell-Evans indicated that the Cochrane facility would welcome independent personal trainers and group exercise instructors from the local area.
Patchell-Evans also said he knows the importance of businesses supporting the community where it resides, and that GoodLife is excited about backing local initiatives that are important to Cochrane.
“Currently we belong to the Cochrane (and District) Chamber of Commerce and we have also supported the Cochrane Lions Club and the Jumping Pound Community Association,” he said.
Currently, there are 17 GoodLife gyms in Alberta. The Cochrane location is expected to open Jan. 22.
To win one of two, 6-month memberships to GoodLife fitness, visit the Cochrane Eagle website, cochraneeagle.com, to enter from Jan. 9-17.
