The off-leash dog park off Highway 22 remains closed for clean up due to a nearby structure fire having potentially contaminated the green space.
The Town of Cochrane announced the park was closed after a fire broke out at the nearby Ramada Feb. 6.
As a result of firefighters flushing out the fire for nearly 24 hours, much of the water used flowed into the dog park located behind the hotel.
Further clean up and environmental assessment are required to ensure the space is safe for dogs and owners before it can re-open, according to the town.
