The Cochrane Lioness Club will be holding a Cochrane Mom to Mom sale Feb. 28 at the Cochrane Alliance Church.
Items available at the sale will include good quality or gently used children’s clothing, toys, equipment and maternity wear.
Crystal Bohn is a member of the Lioness Club and is helping to put on the event. She said if anyone has had a chance to look at some of the local Facebook groups, such as Cochrane Mom’s Trading Post, which has nearly 5,000 members, there is an interest in buying and selling these items.
“Our growing town definitely needs this kind of sale. It is nice to be able to go to a one-stop-shop and pick up your children’s clothing for the next season or a new high chair,” she said.
Bohn also pointed out it is also a good opportunity to get to know other moms in the community.
People are invited to rent a table and sell items at the event. It is $30 if they require a table to be provided and $25 if they bring their own.
There are also a limited number of tables available for businesses to sell items, but the business must be related to the ‘family friendly feel’. Business vendors pay $75 per table or $60 with a donation of a door prize.
There will be a $2 admission fee, which Bohn said would get each person’s name entered into a raffle for various door prizes. She said all of the money from the door and table rentals would go to a charity of the Lioness Club’s choosing in the community.
