Provinces records record-breaking 30 COVID-19 deaths— Cochrane active cases continue downward trend

COCHRANE— Cochrane is continuing its downward trend in reported COVID-19 cases. On Thursday (Dec. 17) the town had a reported 53 active cases of the virus.

COCHRANE— Cochrane is continuing its downward trend in reported COVID-19 cases.

On Thursday (Dec. 17) the town had a reported 53 active cases of the virus. To date, there have been a reported 196 cases of COVID-19 in Cochrane— 142 people have recovered from the virus and there has been one COVID-related death.

In Alberta, over the last 24-hours, 1,571 new cases of the virus have been detected using about 19,800 tests.

The provincial positivity rate now sits at 7.9 per cent.

The province reported a record-breaking 30 COVID-19 related deaths, bringing the provincial number of deaths to 790. The deaths are the highest reported numbers to date.

There are a reported 763 people in the hospital due to COVID-19, including 138 in intensive care units.

Currently, there are 19,865 active cases of COVID-19 in the province.
