STONEY NAKODA— Cochrane RCMP and Stoney Nakoda RCMP are investigating a fatal collision on Highway 1, where two people died on scene and a third has been left in serious condition.
A call came in at roughly 11 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 11) to report the accident between a five-ton truck and a semi just west of the Morley turnoff.
Traffic is expected to be impacted for several hours while the scene is under investigation. Collision analysts have been dispatched to help determine the cause of the accident.
RCMP have rerouted traffic on a detour to Highway 1A via Morley.
