Cochrane RCMP responded to a complaint of a break and enter to a rural resident on Township Road 272 in Rocky View County on Aug. 11.
Homeowners returned home to find the door wide open with lights on that had been off when they left. They discovered that bottles of liquor, a laptop, jewelry and belt buckles had been taken from the residence. The homeowner estimated the value of the stolen items was between $20,000 and $30,000.
Upon investigation, police determined the break and enter occurred between Aug. 7 after 1 p.m. and Aug. 11 before 10 p.m.
