Save the stress of do-it-yourself hair by way of professional salon

While brides-to-be may be letting their hair down on the eve before the wedding, most will be putting it up on the big day.

While brides-to-be may be letting their hair down on the eve before the wedding, most will be putting it up on the big day.

For Bailey Orozco, owner and head stylist at Fringes Hair Salon and Day Spa, updos and wedding parties is a normal day at the office any given summer Saturday.

Leaving your do to a pro can be a sure-fire way to relief some of the wedding day jitters, according to Orozco.

“I think it takes away a lot of the stress. Also, I think it’s important to feel pampered and special on your wedding day,” explained the stylist, adding there are a few more ways to decrease the stress factor on the big day.

“One thing I tell brides is that a lot of time a full hair trial isn’t worth it,” she explained, adding that a half hour consult with a team stylist is a more cost-effective route, giving the stylist and bride time to connect, go over hair plans, designs, hair pieces and magazine clippings.

Birdcages, hairpieces and flowers all remain popular choices for brides.

Orozco said last summer she and her staff saw a spike in full updos versus the half-up, half-down dos.

Orozco said Fringes offers full service hair and make-up and bridal packages that include a variety of options, such as manicures, pedicures and facials — which the stylist recommends brides have done at least three weeks prior to their big day, to avoid break outs.
