The food and toy hamper program – Share Your Christmas – is still looking for more items as the Cochrane Activettes get ready to pack up the hampers later this month. Charlene Jeffery, the food hamper coordinator at the food bank, said tons of food donations have rolled in but could always use more. Among the items needed are rice, large canned ham, Kleenex, bathroom tissue and paper towels. Toys are also still needed for all children’s age groups as well as pajamas. Donation boxes are located at Save On Foods, Safeway and No Frills. Monetary donations may be made on www.cochraneactivettes.com/share-your-christmas/ or mailing to Cochrane Food Bank, Box 535, Cochrane, AB T4C 1A7. The packaging of the hampers will take place on Dec. 17 and all volunteers needed are secured.
