The conclusion of the recent Request for Proposal (RFP) process has led the Spray Lake Sawmills Recreation Park Society (SLSRPS) to reaffirm its commitment to the residents and communities it serves.
In a public statement, the organization expressed sincere gratitude to the staff who maintained operations throughout the RFP period.
“Throughout this process, the dedication and professionalism of our staff, across all levels, have remained constant. Thanks to their efforts, the Centre continues to operate at a high level,” the statement reads. “This speaks to a strong operational foundation and the collaborative relationships we’ve built with our community and sport partners.”
SLSRPS also highlighted its 93 per cent cost recovery rate, which it credits to sound operations and effective partnerships.
Now that the RFP process has concluded, the organization says it will refocus on a number of projects and initiatives that had been temporarily paused.
“There is important work ahead, and we are committed to advancing it with renewed clarity and purpose,” the statement continues. “Our board is committed to strong, transparent governance and ensuring the organization remains focused on delivering accessible, efficient, and best-in-class service.”
Looking ahead, SLSRPS says it will continue working closely with the Town of Cochrane and Rocky View County—the owners of the facility—as both municipalities explore ways to meet the community’s evolving recreation needs.
