With Canada Day celebrations wrapped up and summer in full swing, the Town of Cochrane is encouraging residents to stay up to date with local events and updates through the official Town of Cochrane app.
Launched in October 2024, the app was developed to serve as a central hub for community news, including emergency alerts, construction notices, municipal restrictions, and local event listings.
“The Cochrane App keeps you connected to everything happening in our vibrant community—right from your pocket,” said the Town in a recent Facebook post. “Don’t forget to check the calendar often so you never miss a moment.”
The app was created in response to public demand for more streamlined communications following the pipeline incident in October 2023, which highlighted the need for faster and more accessible updates.
In addition to real-time event information, users can find details on transit schedules, waste collection, job postings, and more. The app also includes a “report a problem” feature, empowering residents to take an active role in community upkeep and feedback.
