Along with the Cochrane Eagle being the media sponsor, the Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation has named Riversong Cochrane as the title sponsor of the Run at the Ranch event, set to kick off July 19.

Run at the Ranch is held at Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park and is part of the Parks Day celebrations.

“We’re thrilled to be part of run and to celebrate Parks Day,” said Cam Hart, general manager of Tamani Communities, the developer of Riversong. “The Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation and Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park are an important part of the Cochrane community and we’re glad to support them.”

The Riversong Run at the Ranch is part of the 5 Peaks trail running series and offers various race distances for everyone. The run features the ‘Children’s Challenge’, ‘Cochrane Firefighters Timed Kids Race’, ‘The Rose Wellness Centre Sports Course’, ‘Enduro Course’, and the ‘GoodLife Fitness Half Marathon’.

The run will be combined with Parks Day celebrations and will include a range of activities for park visitors to enjoy.

The Rotary Club of Cochrane has partnered with 5 Peaks Adventure to bring the run to the park.

“As Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park is right in Cochrane’s backyard, residents of Cochrane will benefit the most from this partnership, which will foster sustainable development of the park’s many unique features,” said Tom Wilk, Cochrane Rotary president.
