Cochrane is still looking to rack up the votes in the World Fishing Network.com’s Ultimate Fishing Town contest.
As of April 30, Cochrane is holding steady in eighth position nationwide, while ranking third overall for the western region of the competition. Our town has chalked up nearly 2,500 votes.
By noon May 3, the towns selected to move on to the second round of voting will be announced. This period of voting will continue until 11:59 a.m. on May 24.
The winner of the Ultimate Fishing Town contest will pocket $25,000 to be put towards developments or organizations that qualify under the spirit of the contest.
Additional cash prizes will be awarded on a regional and secondary basis. There is a limit to only one prize per nominated town.
