The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program is back just in time for tax season.
The program assists eligible residents in filing their personal taxes at no cost.
The program, a joint effort of Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) and the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), utilizes volunteers trained by the CRA to assist and access government benefits.
"This important service would not be possible without our community volunteers," said FCSS manager Kim Krawec.
"The tax assistance provided empowers residents to save money and utilize all obtainable benefits creating self-sufficiency."
The program runs until the end of April 2022.
To find out more about eligibility, residents can contact FCSS at 403-851-2250.
