The Boys and Girls Club of Cochrane and Area will be hosting their annual Youth Expo at the Fifth Avenue clubhouse parking lot location May 9-10.
“We really want the Youth Expo to be run by the youth,” said event organizer, Shana Bruder from the club. “We want to highlight all the amazing things kids are doing in Cochrane.”
Bruder said festivities kick off at 4:30 p.m. May 9 with their ‘Minute To Win It Olympics’, followed by a 7 p.m. youth barbecue and finishing with a youth homelessness awareness camp out.
May 10 starts digging in to fun at 10 a.m. at the clubhouse, followed by free bowling at Cochrane Lanes from noon-2 p.m.; free yoga at the Amaryllis Centre from 2-2:30 p.m. and free swimming from 3-6 p.m. at the Big Hill Leisure Pool.
Bruder said all ages of youth are encouraged to come down and take part in the fun-filled assortment of games and activities for the two-day affair.
Kids seeking some competition can acquire information from club staff on the May 31 ‘Capital One Race for Kids’ event, where ‘grown ups play and kids win’.
