The Bantam Rockies Tier 6 team took to the ice last weekend in Coaldale and came home with a gold medal.
Coach Phonsie Corcoran said the 13 and 14-year-old boys haven’t lost a game yet in their season, including at the tournament, where they knocked out wins in all three of their games. “I put all the credit on the boys,” said Corcoran of the 19 players on the team. “They’re a great bunch of kids.” The Bantam team will continue to work toward Hockey Alberta Provincial Championships, which take place in Edmonton in March.
“The harder you work, the more you get out of it,” he said.
