Cochrane BMX riders represented the community and their team proudly at the BMX Provincial Series in Medicine Hat Sept. 9 and 10.
Cochrane had more than 40 riders partake in the competition, with 22 of them coming home with an Alberta provincial plate (AB plate), signifying the rider finished in the top eight of their respective age group. The plate shows off the participants place that they finished during the event.
Three of the six nine-year-old boys, as well as three of the eight participating seven-year-old girls placed in the top eight of both their categories, while all 11 female racers that competed in the event came home with AB plates.
The youngest AB plate winner was four-year-old Spencer Faupel and the most experienced AB plate winner was Brian Otterson, 50.
