Cochrane Minor Soccer AGM goes Feb. 9 at Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre

Cochrane Minor Soccer (CMS) is holding its annual general meeting Feb. 9 at Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre. The three-hour event begins at 6 p.m. with a “Pot Luck Social” before the AGM gets underway at 7 p.m.

Cochrane Minor Soccer (CMS) is holding its annual general meeting Feb. 9 at Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre. The three-hour event begins at 6 p.m. with a “Pot Luck Social” before the AGM gets underway at 7 p.m.

“Come early, have some coffee and snacks and spend time with our technical team, board members and invited guests who will be present to discuss long term player development, strategies and implementation,” the group’s website states.

Guests at the AGM include:

– Reid Bilben of the Alberta Sport Development Centre, Calgary Region

– John Clubb of the Alberta Soccer Association

– CMS technical directors John Castrillion and Nigel Brattle

– Dr. Dennis Hayes, who will discuss concussion prevention and injury protocol

Agenda items include:

– Survey feedback from the grassroots program

– Survey feedback from the competitive program

– Overview of player development models and program planning

– Coaches’ reports from the competitive program

– Technical team report

The event is scheduled for Feb. 9, 6-9 p.m., in the multi-purpose room at Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre in Cochrane.
