Cochrane Cobras quarterback Tae Gordon has been named the Most Valuable Player from the Rocky View Sports Association.

Last night at the Cobras’ annual football banquet, the team honoured its QB1 – both as a top player on the high school squad, as well as a leader in the league. Gordon has continually been a solid player and thoughtful teammate throughout his three years on the team, and most recently, he helped the Cobras push past the Holy Rosary Raiders to win the RVSA provincial championship for the third year in a row.

Dylan Jackson and Craig de la Mare earned nods from the school as Most Improved Players, while Joseph Bell, DJ Tocher, Dawson Laye and Dylan Neis were all named as Rookies of the Year. Receivers, defensive backs and more were also celebrated by their friends, coaches and fellow players.

In an impressive show of dedication, 29 players earned Commitment Awards – meaning they never missed a practice.
