Cochrane ringette player Danielle Rosenberg is one of the recipients for the 19th annual Agnes Jacks Scholarships Award.

The award is presented to ringette players, coaches and/or officials who have demonstrated a strong academic performance and a commitment to the sport of ringette. Recipients receive a $1,000 scholarship toward post-secondary education and also receive a scholarship award certificate recognizing their achievements. The award was given to four other recipients that ranged across the country from B.C. to Nova Scotia.

Rosenberg was part of the unnamed Zone 2 U19A team that won the provincial title and earned the right to represent Alberta at the Western Canadian Ringette Championships that took place in March. The team surprised everyone at the Western Championships when it took home a silver medal.

The team also won three tournaments and three gold medals over the course of its season.
