The Rockyview Rage Midget A boys lacrosse team recently captured a silver medal at the Blues Icebreaker tournament over the weekend of April 23 and 24.
The tournament, which was hosted in Edmonton, is extremely competitive, with six teams (three from Calgary and three from Edmonton) taking part.
The Rage crushed the Edmonton Wizards (13-8), the Edmonton Blues (12-6), and the Edmonton Warriors (9-6) on their way to the gold medal match against the Calgary NW Hornets.
Unfortunately, the Rage fell 8-5 in the final.
Standout players were Austin Lousier who lead the team with 13 goals in four games, and Logan Clarkson, who was the team’s scoring leader with 17 points (eight goals, nine assists).
