The St. Timothy Junior and Senior High School track teams killed it last weekend, winning multiple medals and setting a couple records at the Dino Indoor Challenge.

The St. Timothy Junior and Senior High School track teams killed it last weekend, winning multiple medals and setting a couple records at the Dino Indoor Challenge.

The challenge, which was held at the University of Calgary, saw senior runners Alex Howells and Sophia Nowicki win gold, while setting high school track meet records in the 2,000m event.

Howells recorded a time of 5:56.95, while Nowicki racked up a 7:11.17 time in the girls event.

Graeme Murphy finished second to Howells, while Josh Novak won the boys junior high 2,000m (6:58.73 time). In her first ever competition, Madison Cruikshank finished third in the girls 200 m.

In the junior squad, Grade 8 Damon Agyeman won the boys 60m and 200m, with Liam Hogg and Keegan Turuk finishing second and third. Carter Verheul (Grade 7) won the boys 60m, and Grace Boston (also Grade 7) won the girls 800m race.

Fellow Grade 7 student Liam McCollough won the boys 800 m race, with Alex Aguilar finishing second.

Scott Delsing and Eric Swedlo finished first and second in the Grade 9 800m to round things out.
