Cochrane hockey player Tyler Wong has signed with the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League - the affiliate team of the NHL's Vegas Golden Knights.
Cochrane hockey player Tyler Wong has signed with the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League - the affiliate team of the NHL's Vegas Golden Knights. The AHL team announced this morning they secured a standard player contract with Wong for the 2017-18 season.
The 21-year-old is fresh off his Western Hockey League career, where he was a star for five years as captain of the Lethbridge Hurricanes. He left a lasting impression as a solid right-winger and a dedicated charitable volunteer, and received a key to the city from Lethbridge Mayor Chris Spearman.
The Chicago Wolves are two-time Calder Cup winners who have had such notable players on their roster as Chicago Blackhawks’ Troy Murray, three-time Stanley Cup champion Chris Chelios and NHL goaltender Wendell Young - who is now the general manager of the Wolves.
