Police investigating after child dead in Saturday morning shooting in Toronto

TORONTO — Toronto police say a child is dead after an early Saturday morning shooting. Officers responded to the sound of gunshots around 12:30 a.m. at Martha Eaton Way and Trethewey Drive on the north side of the city.

TORONTO — Toronto police say a child is dead after an early Saturday morning shooting.

Officers responded to the sound of gunshots around 12:30 a.m. at Martha Eaton Way and Trethewey Drive on the north side of the city.

Upon arrival at the scene, police say they found a boy who had been shot.

The child was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation is ongoing.
