Letter to the Editor: I wonder who MLA Peter Guthrie thinks he's fooling?

Joining the NDP would have been a lot more intelligent for Guthrie and Scott Sinclair.

It certainly isn't  any of the true conservatives in our world. We have no intention of following him to the Alberta Party knowing it's been 40 years since it was created, has had 16 different leaders and was only able to get less than one per cent of the vote in the last election. We aren't interested in splitting the votes and allowing these fake conservatives, Reformers, to stay in power like we saw under the Wildrose Party.
Especially when our friends, relatives and heroes from the Conservative Lougheed and Getty days urged us to show respect for the NDP and Rachael Notley for what she was trying to accomplish. Increasing corporate taxes and oil royalties back up to the Lougheed levels makes perfect sense.
Even my dear friend Jim Henderson an MLA from the Social Credit days and Ralph Klein's daughter Angie urged us to support them. Angie was furious with her father for cutting the corporate taxes and creating the financial mess it did.
Lougheed's energy minister Bill Dickie was a brother in-law of one of my uncles and I haven't forgotten how disgusted they all were with Klein and the ignorant Albertans who supported him.  Lougheed's MLA  Allan A. : Warrack said it best in his article: " Rachael Notley Has Led  Like Lougheed".
She was certainly on the right track but the oil industry crash of 2014 destroyed all her plans. She was able to increase corporate taxes by two per cent up to 12 per cent, when they had been 16 per cent, which Jason Kenney cut four per cent down to eight per cent. Costing the loss of billions to taxpayers. We know Albertans have lost $1.2 Trillion because of these Reformers, and what Alaska and Norway have accomplished proves it.
We know these Reformers have got to be stopped for our children and grandchildren's sake. Showing them no respect for the future they must face, with Global Warming being a major concern is just plain stupid.
Joining the NDP would have been a lot more intelligent for Guthrie and Scott Sinclair, and would have been hard for Danielle Smith to take, wouldn't it?
