Spring is here and Seniors on the Bow (SOTB) has several events to mark the season.
Improvisation Games are set to begin on Friday April 22 at 2 pm. This is new event promises to be a fun time for all participants. Based on a drama theme there will be non-threatening activities to waken your inner thespian. No previous experience required, simply the desire to play with dramatic ideas.
Monday Movie Matinee at 1:15 p.m. on April 25 – please note the change. Joy is postponed to another time. In its place Edge, a drama set in the Alaska wilderness will show.
Book Club meets on April 29 to discuss Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel. The book for May is The Piano Maker.
Please note that Piloga for April 14 to June 23 has been cancelled. Watch for it to resume in the fall.

May is the time for yard work and for enjoying life outdoors. However, be sure to be available for the Annual Spring Fashion Show featuring Nancy Wood’s Style in Motion. She has garments from several suppliers, which will be available for purchase after they are modelled. In addition, there will be a quilt and afghan raffle and refreshments. Beer and Wine will be available at $4 per glass. Musical entertainment is being arranged. If you can help with other details call Nancy G. at (587) 362-2009.
The Variety Show is scheduled for June 10 during Seniors Week. Several performances have already booked but more are needed. Contact Ruth at (403) 8320-0605 if you would like to join in an enjoyable afternoon entertaining or being entertained.
Seniors on the Bow is open daily Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. except for holidays. We will be closed on Monday, May 23 for Victoria Day.
