Those of us that drive Highway 1A west of Highway 22 will notice two new sets of lights to access the communities north and south of the Highway.
Not only have they installed lights, but made the road narrower with a concrete boulevard in the middle of the previously perfect road. These lights are completely unnecessary as roundabouts are much cheaper and more efficient in moving traffic. What is the cost for these two lights and the highway realignment? I hope Cochrane town council is not responsible for this waste of money. On another point, the Highway 22/Highway 1A intersection has continual lineups, especially on long weekends. Why Highway 1A was not put under the overpass when it was constructed for the trains, was another mistake. It still is the logical solution for the traffic that uses that intersection. Ernst Enns
