Spring is finally blooming gloriously around Cochrane, and not only in the greenhouse at Anything Grows.
Golden forsythia in the Sacred Garden at St. Mary’s Church point to the hope-filled sacredness of this season. Pink double flowering plum and yellow buffalo bean blossoms echo the praise.
Of course, our backyard apple tree! Every morning lately, Mary Anna and I have been looking out our bedroom window for the first signs of pink buds. And there they were, just this past weekend – the hint of bird-friendly fruit to come!
Then there are the lush pink sand cherry blossoms along Glenbow Dr. in counterpoint to the dandelions along the roadside. And so much more, everywhere you look, a perfect invitation for folks to put down roots in our flower-friendly foothills town.
And an invitation for our readers to enjoy this gift of beauty in all its vernal vibrance.
