Local writer Lynn Dove has been shortlisted for the 2019 Word Awards that will take place June 14 at the Conference at Carmen's Banquet Centre in Hamilton, Ont.

The Cochrane Camera Club will be hosting its bi-annual photo show and sale May 4 at the Cochrane Alliance Church. The Camera Club hosted its first show and sale in November of this year and plan to continue to host them bi-annually.

Chinook Film Group is continuing its spring season with the showing of Man Running on April 17 at 7 p.m. at the Cochrane Movie House.

The formerly known Cochrane Visions Theatre has an entirely new look after the group rebranded itself as the Take a Bow Community Theatre Society and will present its spring play of The Mousetrap May 3 through until the 12.
