Cochrane’s McDonald’s Restaurant raised $8,908 on McHappy Day May 8.
The fast-food giant celebrated its 20th anniversary raising money for the Ronald Mc-Donald House Southern Alberta, and thanks to Cochrane residents’ kind hearts, the day was a success.
“The incredible generosity of our customers, the enthusiasm of our employees and the assistance of our celebrity volunteers helped our restaurants support the activities of the Ronald McDonald House Southern Alberta,” said McHappy Day coordinator Dawn Well-spring.
One dollar from the sale of every Big Mac, Happy Meal and any size hot McCafe product went toward the cause.
In 20 years, more than $20 million has been raised for the charity.
