The Foothills Art Club will be hosting its annual Spring Art Show and Sale next weekend.
Moving the show to a new location this year, the show and sale will be at St. Andrews United Church. Featuring a variety of talent from the region, it is scheduled for April 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There will be no admission at show with refreshments available and a door prize – a painting by Barb Scott.
The club meets on Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at St. Andrew’s United Church.
Foothills Art Club holds a fall and spring art show and sale each year, with all members being eligible to take part. According to its website the club has monthly scheduled “open-studios” or “paintouts” at Beaupre Hall, west of Cochrane, as well as outside “plein-air” painting sessions during the summer.
The club holds guest presentations and demonstrations by members throughout the year, along with weekend workshops led by professional instructors. They also hold monthly “theme” nights when members share a special technique or resource and “critique” nights for members to bring their work for suggestions or feedback.
