As summer break enters its last legs, the Cochrane and Area Family Resource Network (FRN) is returning with their Back-to-School Fair on Aug. 24.
The free, family-friendly event will take place at the SLS Centre form 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Attendees can explore the various opportunities, services, and support systems that are available for Cochrane and area families with K-12 students.
In partnership with the SLS Centre, the fair will showcase a wide variety of local agencies, programs, and resources for a successful school year. Parents can connect with local agencies and recreational programs to help enhance their learning journey.
The event will also feature interactive activities for all ages, including life-sized games, balloon animals, glitter tattoos, and a back-to-school photo booth. There will also be a special appearance by Butterfield Acres, sponsored by Cochrane Home Treasures.
FCSS manager for the Town of Cochrane, Kim Krawec said the collaborative effort gives locals the resources to secure a successful and enjoyable back-to-school experience.
“The fair serves as a valuable resource hub that can support families throughout their educational journey,” Krawec said.
All members of the community are invited to the fair, and join the Town in welcoming another academic school year. For more information on the event, please visit Cochrane.ca.
