Need a night away from your little angels?
The Cochrane Movie House is hosting a ladies night with the special screening of Bad Moms and a cash bar.
“I think it’ll go well. We have been hearing lots of excited feedback,” said Nicole Sheepy-Copses, event organizer.
This is the third time the Movie House will be hosting a ladies night and keeping with the theme of “Bad Moms” there will be “bad” foods catered by Guy’s Café & Bakery and “bad” cocktail specials.
“We will have coolers, beer, wine and we are working on a cocktail slushy summery drink,” Sheepy-Copses said.
“Being an independent theatre we have the ability to do fun stuff like this and for moms it is just nice to get out and do stuff – it is fun to put on events like this.”
The other two ladies nights at the theatre were a success, with 300 tickets selling out in six hours for 50 Shades of Grey, and 190 tickets sold for Magic Mike.
The evening will also have a DJ and guests are encouraged to come early to get their drink and dance on. Past ladies nights have had staff delay the screening of the movies because the women were having “too much fun” the organizer said with a laugh.
“It’ll be a fun night,” Sheepy-Copses said.
“Bad moms” are invited out for the July 28 event with doors open at 6 p.m. and the movie scheduled to start at 8 p.m. Not a mom and just need a night out? All ladies 18 and older are welcome.
Tickets are currently available at the Cochrane Movie House, located at 218 Fifth Ave. West.
