Breakaway at break in

There was a shootout in the Stoney Tribal Hockey Arena … with pucks, after nine male suspects broke in to play a game of hockey. Arena staff caught the incident on security footage on Feb. 6 at 5:30 p.m.

There was a shootout in the Stoney Tribal Hockey Arena … with pucks, after nine male suspects broke in to play a game of hockey.

Arena staff caught the incident on security footage on Feb. 6 at 5:30 p.m. of nine male suspects who pried the front doors open of the Stoney Tribal Hockey Arena, and proceeded to go to the ice to play a game of hockey. It is unknown how many games were played before the suspects took off.

The arena is located on the Morley reservation, approximately 30 kilometers from Cochrane. Heights and approximate ages of the suspects were not included in the report. Cochrane RCMP are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact the local department at 403-932-2213.

Local RCMP assisted a crash on Highway 22 by Priddis firehall on Feb. 12.

The Turner Valley detachment responded to a rollover that morning at approximately 9:30 a.m. when Cochrane RCMP was called to assist. Local police responded with EMS when an ambulance was struck by another vehicle. It then turned into a three-vehicle collision and Highway 22 was shut down by 10 a.m.

Road conditions were an issue and visibility was poor that morning.
