An update on Alberta's fiscal and capital plans will be released in Budget 2020 later this afternoon at 3:15 p.m.
In preparation, the government has consulted over 30,000 Albertans through two telephone town halls.
"I have listened to the comments that thousands of Albertans have shared with me and I hear your concerns about the need to continue to create jobs and grow the economy. Budget 2020 will report on our actions to date and our continued efforts to get Albertans back to work," said Minister of Finance, Travis Towes.
Ministers and MLAs have also met with constituents and more than 26,000 Albertans have provided feedback through an online survey prior to its closing on February 7.
Towes adds Budget 2020 is a continuation of commitment to Albertans and the plan set forward in Budget 2019. The focus is to transform government programs to eliminate duplication and ensure realized savings are reinvested into services.
