The Boys and Girls Club of Cochrane’s will be opening their doors to the public on Thursday, Sept. 25 from 4 – 7 p.m. at its 5th Ave. location.

The open house will have a carnival theme complete with a bouncy castle, games, cotton candy and pizza.

“We’re opening up our doors so that people can come and see our programs and see the types of things that we run here, because there are a lot of things we do in the community that people don’t really know about,” said Sarah Costen, program coordinator for Play Days Day Home Agency with the Boys and Girls Club of Cochrane and Area.

“I’m sure it is a place that a lot of people have seen and are not quite sure what we offer and what their children can be involved in, whether it is coming for a week of summer camps or getting involved in one of our other programs,” she added.

Some of the programs Costen mentioned were their day home programs, after school care programs, KinderCare programs and youth development programs. She added that the after school care program would be running during the open house and their would be staff members there to answer any questions. There will also be volunteer junior leaders there that will also be available to show people around the space.
