Cochrane active COVID-19 cases drop to 55

COCHRANE— The number of active COVID-19 cases in Cochrane has seen a slight decline.

On Tuesday (Dec. 15) the town had a reported 55 active cases of the virus.

There have been a reported 185 cases of COVID-19 in the Town of Cochrane since March. To date 129 patients have recovered from the virus.

The town also confirmed its first COVID-19 related death over the weekend.

In the last 24-hours there have been 1,341 new cases of COVID-19 identified in Alberta, and 16,353 new tests have been completed.

There are 742 people currently hospitalized, including 137 patients in intensive care units.

There were a reported 11 additional COVID-19 related deaths in Alberta, bringing the provincial total to 744.

The provincial positivity rate currently sits at 8.2 per cent.

In total there are 20,649 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta.
