The Food Bank and the Cochrane Activettes are formally announcing the launch of the Cochrane Food Bank Society.

The Food Bank and the Cochrane Activettes are reaching out to the community to announce the official launch of the Cochrane Food Bank Society.

Due to regulatory requirements, the newly established incorporated society will be a separate entity from the Cochrane Activettes. Although their formal partnership has ended, the Food Bank will remain committed to continuing collaborative efforts with the Activettes Club in shared community initiatives.

For all clients and dedicated volunteers, the Cochrane Food Bank Society assures that nothing has changed. Everything from their phone number and current address remain the same. In addition, they ensure to uphold the same vision, mission, and values that guided the food bank since its inception.

Cochrane Food Bank president Brenda Mottle, furthers this adding that things will continue to remain as they are now.

“People get their hampers the same way and volunteers sign up for shifts in a similar way,” she said. “It’s all back-end stuff for us.

“The Foodbank has a mission and a set of values that we operate under, and going forward, none of that has changed. For the community, we are still providing the same service.”

As they transition to their new moniker, the Cochrane Food Bank plans to bring a new website that will offer users an easy-to-navigate platform to learn more about their programs, ways to get involved, and make donations that support their cause.

With their new future ahead of them, the Cochrane Food Bank Society would like to extend their deepest thanks to their founding members of the Food Bank and the Cochrane Activettes for their dedication, vision and hard work for making this happen.

From their humble roots in 1995 that started a church basement, the commitment and foundation of everyone involved has led to newly incorporated Food Bank, which will continue to make meaningful impacts in the community.

The Cochrane Food Bank would also like to say extend their gratitude to the generous and committed community stakeholders and corporate sponsors for their support. They would also like to thank the community and dedicated Activettes who continue to offer their time and energy.
