Nominations are now open for outstanding Cochranites who go above and beyond.
The 2018 Cochrane Community Awards nominations opened up Feb. 5. The annual program recognizes locals who lead and exceed beyond expectation.
“Anytime we celebrate one of our own, it’s a great day … this is a great opportunity to highlight the positives in our community,” said Mayor Jeff Genung.
The 13 award categories provide a platform to recognize and reward community activism and volunteerism, with awards to be presented to recipients May 27 at the RancheHouse.
All nominees will be recognized at the awards ceremony.
Nomination deadline is April 9. Online nominations are encouraged through ccawards.ca. Paper submissions can also be sent via fax to Rebecca at 403-851-2591, they can also be mailed or hand delivered to the RancheHouse.
