Weather it’s a hefty retirement fund or a cross country-trip, the possibilities are endless for recent EXTRA winner Linda Kozek.
Kozek purchased her winning LOTTO MAX and EXTRA ticket from Save On Foods at 65 Bow Street in Cochrane.
“I was in shock,” she said. “I didn’t know what to do, I just couldn’t believe it!”
Matching the July 1 EXTRA selection: 723950, Kozek initially thought she had only won a tenth of what she had actually did.
“I checked it on the self scanner and thought it was $25,000, which I was pretty excited about!” she laughed. “I took it to the cash register to double-check and realized I’d actually won $250,000!”
With the $250,000 earnings, Kozek looks to both invest in the future while enjoying the present.
“I’m going to invest this money for retirement,” she said. “I also want to take my mom on a trip, we’re thinking a train across Canada!”
