Cochrane landed on a list of the Top 20 “Game Changing Places to Live” by Sunset Magazine, a lifestyle publication with an almost exclusive focus on Western United States.
Cochrane placed 11th on the list along with luxurious vacation cities in California including Palms Springs and Carlsbad – both popular destination for snowbirds. The town was also the only Canadian destination on the list.
“Cochrane seems to embody a business-friendly, tech-savvy, future-thinking mindset while at the same time serving as a gorgeous natural setting and a gateway to Canmore and Banff: two western destinations our Sunset readers are very drawn to,” Robin Ronaldi, a contributing editor for Sunset Magazine, told the Cochrane Eagle over Twitter.
The magazine depicts Cochrane as a destination “on the way to outdoor meccas.”
“Cochrane is home to about half a dozen sizeable tech companies (including Garmin) and is ambitiously recruiting more,” reads the article. The article can be viewed at www.sunset.com
