Are you interested in encouraging more children to bike to school? Bike Cochrane is looking to gather information from the parents of school-aged children to help them make the community more bike-friendly for kids who want to commute to and from school by bicycle. The results from the survey will help the Bike Cochrane Society better understand the barriers children face with regards to active transportation. The short survey can be completed in under two minutes, and participation enters you into a draw to win Cochrane Dollars. The survey closes on June 21, and a link can be found on Bike Cochrane’s Facebook page.
Cochrane Ideas
Cochrane Ideas is hosting yet another thought-provoking discussion, this time on the topic of death. The Death Café is meant to educate attendees about death, help people become more aware about the idea of death and encourage participants to make the most of their lives. There is no agenda or planned topics during the Death Café, but the discussion will take place in a virtual round table format. Death Cafés are a social franchise supported by volunteer efforts. More than 12,000 Death Cafés have been held in the last 10 years with the intent of making people more aware of this unique experience. More information on the topic and how to attend can be found at cochraneideasgroup.ca/.
