COMMUNITY GENERATION POWER UP WORKSHOP
Spend the day with a group of experts, colleagues, and like-minded peers to advance your Community Generation Project. This one-day workshop will connect groups developing renewable energy project with sector experts. Groups will learn next steps, funding strategies and other skills. LOCAL AUTHOR TALKS REFLEXOLOGY
Local author Joan Cosway-Hayes is leading a discussion on her reflexology book at the Cochrane Public Library at 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 10. Cosway-Hayes will reveal how your feet and hands relate to all parts of your body. Attendees will learn hands-on how to help yourself feel better with simple reflexology techniques. RALLY TIME
On Saturday, Mar. 7 Historic Downtown Cochrane will be filled with the sound of engines revving. Rally cars squaring off in the Cochrane Winter Rally will be on display on 1 St. W between 2nd and 3rd Ave. You can swing by for a quick look at the cars and get a chance to meet the teams. The event is from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. but Sunday March 8, is when the real fun starts. The Cochrane Winter Rally will be hitting the road in round one in the Western Canadian Rally Championship. This is the qualifying round for all of the major local championships. Road conditions will be tricky and unpredictable going through Waiporous, Harold Creek and Hunter Valley areas.
