A 28-year-old man from Cochrane has been identified as the victim of a climbing accident at Mount Yamnuska on Sunday afternoon. At around 3:30 p.m. RCMP responded to a call of two climbers in distress while hiking east of Canmore. "It appears to be a climbing accident," said Sgt. Stan Andronyk of the Canmore RCMP. "It just went wrong." The second climber needed to be rescued from the mountain. Emergency responders on the scene included Nakoda EMS, Kananaskis Public Safety, RCMP and Alpine Helicopters.
