Cochrane RCMP assist in seizure of $18,000 worth of stolen property in Calgary, Stoney Nakoda

Four individuals are facing 37 total charges after a search warrants in Calgary and Stoney Nakoda First Nation earlier this fall rendered the seizure and recovery of over $18,000 in stolen property.

Cochrane RCMP assisted in the arrest of four individuals from Calgary and Stoney Nakoda First Nation, after a search warrant led to the seizure of weapons, stolen ID documents, and more.

Four individuals are facing 37 total charges after a search warrants in Calgary and Stoney Nakoda First Nation earlier this fall rendered the seizure and recovery of over $18,000 in stolen property.

Cochrane RCMP stated in September, officers responded to 10 break-and-enters targeting GlenEagles and two armed robberies in nearby Rocky View County. 

"In the commission of the robberies, firearms were stolen, with one victim being bear sprayed and a firearm pointed at another victim," the Cochrane detachment stated in a press release.

As a result of those reports, Cochrane RCMP Crime Reduction Unit members investigated, and discovered the stolen firearms had been trafficked. According to the press release, this led to a search warrant being executed at a Calgary residence on Oct. 28, and another search warrant being executed on Stoney Nakoda First Nation on Nov. 1.  

As a result of the search warrants, over $18,000 in stolen property was recovered, including stolen firearms, ammunition, 16 stolen cred cards, and 18 stolen identity documents including drivers' licenses, passports, and birth certificates.

That led to a total of 37 charges being laid against four individuals.

Calgarian Lucas Healy, 24, has been charged with robbery to steal a firearm, trafficking a firearm, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Calgarian Sebastian Muskovic, 45, has been charged with four counts of possession of stolen property.

Tylen Poucette, 26, a resident of Stoney Nakoda First Nation, has been charged with 12 offences, some of which include robbery with a firearm, pointing a firearm, and break-and-enter.

Koda Crane-Dixon (25), a resident of Stoney Nakoda First Nation, has been charged with 18 offences, some of which include robbery with a firearm, break-and-enter, and possession of a firearm contraray to a firearm prohibition.

"Healy, Poucette and Crane-Dixon were remanded into custody," stated RCMP's press release.

Healey will be appearing in Calgary Provincial Court on Nov. 14, while Poucette and Crane-Dixon will be appearing in Calgary Provincial Court on Nov. 15.

Muskovic was released to appear in Calgary Provincial Court on Nov. 28.
