Cochrane RCMP is investigating a recent theft at the local Canadian Tire.
According to a July 8 press release from the detachment, the theft was reported on July 6 at 5:30 p.m., when a male suspect took an item without paying for it at the Quarry Street Canadian Tire location.
"He then fled the scene in a large silver SUV, possible a Chevrolet Suburban," the release stated.
RCMP did not indicate what the stolen item was.
The male suspect is described as having medium-coloured skin, with dark hair, and being approximately 40 years old. He was wearing a black hoodie and black sweat pants with white letters and grey shoes at the time of the theft.
