Cochrane RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male involved in an assault and mischief in the area of Bragg Creek.
According to the RCMP, in April, 2025, the victim was out for a hike when he was verbally confronted by the suspect about his clothing attire. The victim was then punched, narrowly missing his face. The victim immediately left the area and upon return to the parking lot, the victim observed significant damage to the panels of his vehicle. Police believe the same suspect male is responsible for both the assault and mischief to the victim’s vehicle.
The Cochrane RCMP have described the suspect as a light skinned male approximately 35 to 40 years old. he is about six feet and one inch tall and weighs approximately 200 to 220 pounds with a medium to muscular build. The suspect has a gap between his teeth and was last seen wearing dark sunglasses and a blue shirt with grey shorts with stripes.
The RCMP is encouraging anyone who may have witnessed the alleged assault or video of this assault or mischief, to contact the Cochrane RCMP detachment at 403-851-8000.
