Cochrane RCMP seek public assistance to ID assault suspect

A Caucasian man believed to be 35-40 years old punched an employee of Mr. Mikes earlier this month when asked to wear a mask before entering the restaurant. Cochrane RCMP are looking to identify the man.

Cochrane RCMP seek to identify a male suspect caught on CCTV camera punching an employee in the face at Mr. Mikes Steakhouse when he was asked to wear a mask before entering the restaurant Feb. 12.

The incident took place around 6:15 p.m. and the suspect is described as being between 35-40 years old and having light skin with short brown hair and a moustache. He is estimated to be around 220 pounds and was seen in the video wearing a North Face hoodie, baseball cap and blue jeans.

The suspect fled the restaurant located on Quarry Street in a black truck with flames along the side. It was last seen heading eastbound on Griffin Road in Cochrane.

The male victim suffered minor injuries.
