Cochrane RCMP is holding an open house to engage with residents from from 6 pm to 8 pm tonight.

The event is open to the public and pre-registration is not required.

Detachment Commander, Insp. Dave Brunner will be on hand to take questions from the public on any topic.

The Cochrane detachment moved in to its new protective services building in Heartland in June 2023.

It is a 40,000 square-foot, (3,716 sq metre) two-story, state-of-the-art facility housing victims services, Municipal Enforcement, and the RCMP detachment.

Many of the design features are an expression of how multi-cultural, gender-neutral needs will be met for both clients and staff.

The construction budget was $23 million.

The Protective Services Building is at12 Clydesdale Ave. in Heartland.
