COCHRANE— The Town of Cochrane is reporting less than ten active cases of COVID-19.
The town had a reported nine active cases of the virus as of the end of day Wednesday (Feb. 3). To date 316 cases have been identified in the town— Two people have died and 305 people have recovered.
The province reported 582 new active cases of COVID-19 were identified after the completion of more than 11,500 tests. The active cases include 421 cases identified in the last 24 hours.
The number of active cases was updated to reflect a technical issue that did not include 6,000 lab tests from Tuesday's update. The issue did not affect the notification of positive cases.
The province is reporting a positivity rate of 3.6 per cent.
There are 517 people hospitalized due to COVID-19, including 19 people in intensive care.
An additional 13 COVID-related deaths were reported in the province. To date, 1,684 Albertans have died.
The province has administered more than 112,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. A total of more than 21,700 people have been fully immunized.
There are 6,588 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta.
